Indian origin MP Chandra Arya said, “A red line has been crossed by Canadian Khalistani extremists today. The attack by Khalistanis on the Hindu-Canadian devotees inside the premises of the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton shows how deep and brazen has Khalistani violent extremism has become in Canada. I begin to feel that there is a small grain of truth in the reports that in addition to Canadian political apparatus, Khalistanis have effectively infiltrated into our law enforcement agencies. No wonder that under ‘Freedom of expression’, Khalistani extremists are getting a free pass in Canada. As I have been saying for long, Hindu Canadians, for the security and safety of our community, need to step up and assert their rights and hold politicians accountable.”
The ‘Hindu Canadian Foundation’ said that “Kids, Women and Men are being attacked. This is all happening under the support of Khalistani politician sympathisers.”
Canadian Government is playing politics on this issue : US Rep Shri Thanedar
US Representative Shri Thanedar also protested the attack. He said, “I have set up a Hindu organization in the US. I have spoken to the US Department of the State numerous times about the attacks on Hindu temples in the USA. Now, the Canadian Government is playing politics with this issue, they are trying to please certain minority groups in Canada. The attacks against Hindus are purely terroristic acts. Canada Government’s protection of these terroristic activities needs to be deplored, it needs to be opposed. Like Hindu minorities in Bangladesh, Hindu minorities in Canada also have fundamental human rights. They should be protected. I have done a lot including putting pressure on the Biden administration to address these atrocities, whether in Bangladesh or in the US or Canada.”
Opposition from All India Sant Samiti
After the attack on the temple in Canada, the National General Secretary of All India Sant Samiti, Swami Jitendrananda Saraswati, said that it was part of a global conspiracy against Hindus. The Trudeau Government cannot escape this attack by calling it a Khalistani attack. If there are attacks on the temples of Sanatan Dharma, which spreads the message of non-violence all over the world, then the Government it is the Government’s failure. Government of India should clarify its stand in this matter
Prime Minister Trudeau visits Hindu temple for DiwaliBefore this attack, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had wished Hindus in Canada for Diwali. He circulated a video on social media. In the video, Trudeau pointed to the sacred threads tied around his wrist and said, ‘These threads were tied when I visited 3 different Hindu temples in the last few months. It brings good luck, gives security. I won’t take it off until it falls off.’ Editorial PerspectiveKhalistanis attack Hindu temples during Diwali days. Is Trudeau going to take strict action against it ? That is the question. Trudeau should remember that no matter how many times he visits Hindu temples, Hindus will not develop affection for him. |
Protect Hindus and temples : India tells Canada
New Delhi – India’s Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, “We condemn the acts of violence perpetrated by extremists and separatists at the Hindu Sabha temple. We call on the Government of Canada to ensure that all places of worship are protected from such attacks. We also expect that those indulging in violence will be prosecuted. We remain deeply concerned about the safety and security of Indian nationals in Canada.”
‘Ontario Sikh and Gurdwara Council’ condemns temple attack
Ottawa (Canada) – The recent incident outside a temple is deeply tragic. We are committed to supporting the well-being of all faiths and communities in Canada and are dedicated to fostering an environment where everyone feels safe and secure. We urge investigative agencies to take this matter seriously, as violence has no place in our society. In response to the attack on the Brampton temple, the Ontario Sikh and Gurdwara Council issued a statement calling on community leaders to unite in promoting an atmosphere of unity and compassion.
Canadian journalist Daniel Boardman has made a bold claim, accusing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of openly supporting terrorist elements.
Canadian journalist Daniel Boardman has strongly criticized his country’s government regarding recent attacks on religious sites, particularly the recent targeting of a Hindu temple. Boardman highlighted that while religious places like synagogues and churches have faced threats in the past, the latest incident represents a concerning rise in violence directed at Hindu worshippers, marking the first such daylight attack. He noted that the Canadian government has not shown adequate support for the Hindu community, expressing frustration at Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s inconsistent approach—sometimes appearing to support questionable elements, and other times remaining silent. Boardman argued that until the government takes concrete actions to prevent these incidents, its statements condemning such attacks lack credibility. Tensions between Canada and India have escalated under Trudeau’s administration, and there appears to be little prospect for improvement in diplomatic relations in the near future.
Editorial PerspectiveIn Canada, Khalistanis have been given free hand by the Trudeau Government to carry out activities against India and Hindus, due to which, such incidents are happening continuously. Although India is trying to pressurise Canada, from this incident, the efforts seem to be inadequate. Hence, India should boycott Canada completely. |
