After farmer’s land, now the land of Hindu muths claimed by the Waqf Board
Vijayapura (Karnataka) – The muth property in Sindagi city in the District has now become a Waqf property. The Waqf board has registered property in ‘survey number 1020’ as Muslim cemetery. Column number 11 was empty when Siddhaling Swami was the head of the muth. In the year 2018-19, this land was designated as Waqf property.
The devotees are asking how the muth founded in the 13thcentury became a Muslim cemetery. They have opposed vehemently and expressed anger over the transfer of 1.28 acre of property to the Waqf board. Devotees are suspecting that many Hindu muth properties in Sindagi tehsil might have been designated as Waqf properties. Devotees are uniting and opposing this.
