A massive rally of more than 30,000 Hindus in Bangladesh

Demand protection for Hindus

Dhaka (Bangladesh) – On 1st November, more than 30,000 Hindus in Bangladesh staged a protest march to demand protection against the continuous attacks on Hindus. Extra Police and soldiers were deployed at that time. Anti-government march is being carried out in several parts in Bangladesh.

Currently in Bangladesh Muslims are 91% and Hindus are merely 8% i.e. 1.7 crore.

The joint Council of Bangladesh Hindu, Buddhist, Christian has said, “more than 2,000 attacks on Hindus have taken place since 4th August. Interim government did not give adequate protection. Since Sheikh Hasina’s ouster fanatic Islamists are becoming more and more aggressive.”

Mohammad Yunus, the Head of the Interim Government said that the statement about the number of attacks is only an exaggeration.

Earlier on 26th October, ‘Sanatan Jagran Manch’ had organised a massive rally in Chittagong demanding protection and rights of the minority. There were 8 major demands by the Hindu minority. The activists said that the protest would continue till the governments fulfilled their demands.

Editorial Perspective

We can see that Hindus in Bangladesh are more aware than Hindus in India.
