Conspiracy to ban crackers on Diwali, but no one talks on Bakri Eid’s slaughter : Pt Dhirendra Krishna Shastri

Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh) – Conspiracies are hatched to ban crackers on Diwali; but no one raises any question during Bakri Eid, stated Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham here while attacking the anti-Hindus. While talking to the media, he reacted to the demand for a ban on crackers during Diwali.

Points presented by Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri,

1. It is unfortunate for the country that during the festivals of Sanatan Hindu Dharma, some people discuss about breaking of laws, some demand a ban on firecrackers, some ask how lighting oil lamps would benefit the poor etc.

2. I want to tell them that Bakri Eid is celebrated in this country too, which should be stopped. Goats worth lakhs of rupees are slaughtered during Bakri Eid. Why not distribute that money among the poor ? They will benefit.

3. It is said that firecrackers during Diwali cause pollution; but when firecrackers are burst on January 1st to celebrate the New Year, where do these people go ? Do they not cause pollution ? Is there pollution only through Diwali firecrackers ?

4. As soon as Holi comes, there is a cry that ‘water is being wasted’. When bloodshed takes place due to slaughtering of goats during Bakri Eid, these people do not make statements, do not make demands, do not talk about bringing laws.

5. Hypocrisy on Hindu festivals should stop. I will celebrate Diwali with enthusiasm, I have purchased firecrackers too.

Fireworks banned in many States

The States of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Tamil Nadu have imposed strict regulations on the use of firecrackers to protect the environment. Only ‘green crackers’ (eco-friendly crackers) are allowed for a limited time, which are considered useful in reducing pollution.
