Mosque built on Government land in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh
Hindu complainant threatened to be killed in the name of Dawood Ibrahim
Kushinagar (UP) – A case has emerged in Garahiya Chintamani village where a mosque and Eidgah (open space for prayers) are illegally constructed on Government land. A Hindu complainant in this matter is reportedly being threatened in the name of notorious gangster Dawood Ibrahim. The mosque has been built alongside the road. Reportedly, these constructions occurred while the Samajwadi Party was in power in the State. Questions have also been raised regarding the role of former village head Islam Ansari in this matter. The administration is investigating the case.
Ravindra Shahi from the village has lodged a complaint with the administration in this regard. Shahi, along with several other villagers, has claimed that these religious sites are causing difficulties for residents in their daily movements. According to Shahi, since he filed a complaint about the illegal constructions, he and his family have received death threats in the name of Dawood Ibrahim, through social media.
