Indian army dog dies while fighting with terrorists in Kashmir
Akhnoor (Jammu-Kashmir) – A 4-year-old Belgian Shepherd dog named Phantom, deployed in the army, was martyred during the Indian Army’s encounter with Jihadi terrorists along the Line of Control here on 28th October. In this encounter, Phantom was shot and killed. Information in this regard was given from the official X account of the White Knight Corps of the Indian Army. It said, we salute the supreme sacrifice of our hero. Phantom was a knight in our pack. His loyalty will never be forgotten.

Phantom is the second dog to receive heroics in fighting terrorists in recent years. In September 2023, a female Labrador dog Kent died in an encounter in Rajouri district.
Dogs are used by the Indian Army to track down terrorists hiding. The dogs are fitted with various gadgets to track the location and distance of terrorists.
