Hoax bomb threats received by restaurants now after flights

Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh) – An e-mail threatening to bomb 2 eateries here was received on October 27. Immediately after this, both the restaurants were evacuated. The threat was found to be a hoax after investigation by the bomb squad and dog squad.
Tirupati Superintendent of Police L. Subbarayudu said the cyber-crime branch is investigating the matter. In the last 3 days, 7 restaurants in Tirupati have received hoax bomb threats.

13 restaurants in Andhra Pradesh, 9 in Uttar Pradesh, and 10 in Gujarat receive threats

9 restaurants receive hoax bomb threats in Lucknow
On October 28, 9 restaurants in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, received bomb threats. At 10 a.m., the restaurants received a threatening email. It read that there was a bomb planted in a black bag kept on the ground in front of the restaurant. It asked to send USD 55,000 (Rs 50 lakh INR) or else threatened to blow up the restaurants with a bomb. ‘Blood will spread everywhere. Any attempt to defuse the bomb will not succeed,’ it further read. After verification, the threats were found to be hoaxed. Fortune restaurant in Lucknow also received bomb threats for 3 consecutive days.
Threats to 10 restaurants in Gujarat
Threatening emails were sent to 12 restaurants in Rajkot on October 26. The hotels also included five-star hotels like Imperial Palace, Sayaji, Seasons and Grand Regency. After investigation all these threats turned out to be hoaxes.
