Shivamogga (Karnataka) – In recent years, there has been a deliberate demand for ‘Halal’ certified products in India, which has made it necessary for Hindu merchants to obtain ‘Halal’ certification to conduct business. Previously, the concept of ‘Halal’ was limited to meat products and exports to Islamic countries. Now in India, however, various products such as flour, sugar, chocolates, biscuits, daily goods, medicines, and cosmetics are being ‘Halal’ certified. Hence, Hindus need to check if the products they purchase during Diwali festival are Halal-certified. Dinesh Chauhan, Hindu Rashtra Coordination Committee’s Shivamogga coordinator, has appealed to celebrate this Diwali as a ‘Halal-Free Diwali’ while addressing a campaign on 25th October 2024 held near Ramanna Shreshti Park in Shivamogga.

‘Halal’ certification is unnecessary since India has an official food safety and quality control authority. A massive Halal economy is, however, operated within India today. Many States including Uttar Pradesh, have officially imposed restrictions on ‘Halal’ certification. ‘Halal Jihad’ is an economic war, wherein anti-national forces are attempting to create an independent economy to transform India into an Islamic nation, which could challenge the gross national income of many countries. If this economy falls into the hands of Jihadis, who are intending to destabilise the world, the consequences could be severe; therefore, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Hindu Rashtra Coordination Committee, and all pro-Hindu organisations are coming together to raise awareness about celebrating a ‘Halal-free’ Diwali. As part of this campaign, an awareness drive has already been conducted in Mangaluru. The campaign will now be extended across the State, including at Dharwad, Udupi, Tumakuru, and Bengaluru.
