Wave of Anger Among Hindus
Gandhinagar (Gujarat) – A wave of anger has swept through the village of Sadra in the district after a 16-year-old Muslim boy made objectionable and obscene remarks about Lord Ram and Sita Mata. In protest, hundreds of villagers marched to the police station. The police, acting swiftly, took the boy into custody. Following the incident, a complete shutdown of the village has been declared. It is yet unclear what specific comment the boy made.
After the incident, approximately 200 to 300 people from the village gathered at the Chiloda police station, demanding strict action against the accused. Rajesh Patel, a local resident, said, “This incident has deeply hurt our religious sentiments.” To maintain peace in the village, the police have increased security.

A one-day shutdown was observed in the village, initiated by Bajrang Dal. The village’s trade association president, Ramesh Chaudhary, stated, “Our religion has been insulted, so we have voluntarily closed our shops.”
Parents of the Accused Apologize! After the incident, the accused boy’s parents appealed to the village head and Hindu organizations for forgiveness, stating that their son is a minor and acted without understanding.
