Accused salutes the tricolour 21 times saying ‘Bharatmata ki Jai’ as per the Court order
Case of accused Faizan saying ‘Pakistan Zindabad, Hindustan Murdabad’
Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh) – On October 22 nd, Faizan, accused of raising slogans such as ‘Pakistan Zindabad, Hindustan Murdabad,’ appeared at the Jabalpur Police station to comply with the Court order. The Madhya Pradesh High Court, while granting him bail on a personal bond of Rs 50,000, directed Faizan to salute the Indian tricolour 21 times while saying ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ on the 1st and 4th Tuesday of every month until the final verdict is declared in the case. Following the order, Faizan visited the Police station on Tuesday, October 22th, and performed the required actions.
Faizan was arrested after a video of him raising anti-India slogans such as “Pakistan Zindabad, Hindustan Murdabad” was circulated. The case is currently pending in the Jabalpur Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court. According to documents submitted to the Court, Faizan has been accused of attempting to disrupt communal harmony and endanger national unity by making these inflammatory statements.
‘The aim is to create respect for the country in the mind of the accused’ : Justice Paliwal
Justice Dinesh Kumar Paliwal of the Jabalpur Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court put several conditions on Faizan while granting him bail. Justice Paliwal emphasized that the objective of this order is to instil a sense of respect for the country where the accused was born and currently resides. Faizan was granted bail on the condition that he must salute the tricolour and chant “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” as part of his release terms.
