Don’t fly Air India between 1st and 19th November : Gurpatwant Singh Pannun threatens

Khalistani terrorist harboured by Canada and the US, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, issues a new threat

New Delhi – Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, leader of the banned Khalistani terrorist organisation Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), has issued a warning advising people not to travel on Air India flights between 1st and 19th November. He claimed that attacks on Air India flights could take place to mark the 40th anniversary of the 1984 Sikh massacre in Delhi. In recent days, there have been multiple bomb threats targeting Indian flights.

In the last November too, Pannun had released a video warning that the name of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport would be changed and that it would be shut down on 19th November. He advised people to avoid flying with Air India on that day.

Death threats to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann

Earlier this year, on Republic Day, Pannun also issued death threats to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav. He called on criminals to unite and attack Chief Minister Mann on 26th January.

Editorial Perspectives

  • Since Pannun holds citizenship of both Canada and the US, India should call for decisive action from these countries and raise the issue at the United Nations.
  • Terrorist activities targeting India are being openly orchestrated from Canada and the US, yet neither country has taken any action against Pannun. This inaction exposes their apparent anti-India stance. It is now crucial for India to adopt a firm stand in dealing with both these nations.
