Seoul (South Korea) – North Korea has deployed 12,000 troops to assist Russia in its war against Ukraine, according to South Korean intelligence agencies. This contingent reportedly includes a significant number of special operations forces. Ukrainian President Zelensky has warned that if a third country joins the conflict, it could escalate into a world war.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated, “We have no evidence that the North Korean military is directly involved in the war; however, North Korea has been assisting Russia in various ways, including supplying weapons and providing technical support for the war effort. This is very concerning.”
