A Muslim vandalises the idol of Mutthyalamma Temple
Sikandarabad (Telangana) – On 14th October a Muslim youth, Salman Salim vandalised the idol in the Mutthyalamma Temple. He was arrested by the Police. However, the Police did not act strictly against those who are behind the scene. This has led to protest by Hindus. Though the protest was peaceful, the Police lathi charged them. The devout Hindu leader of BJP MLA T Raja Singh has demanded immediate action against those Police personnel who resorted to lathicharge on Hindus who were protesting peacefully.
Vishva Hindu Parishad had called for Telangana bandh to protest attacks on Temples. The BJP National Spokesperson said, “The jihadi attacks on Hindu temples and Police lathicharge on Hindus is a matter of serious concern. It is worrisome, condemnable and crossing all the limits of even demonic behaviour. The guilty must be punished.
The Union Minister Kishan Reddy said, “The person who vandalised the idol was not a thief, he had come to insult Hindus. These people are purposely doing all this only to create unrest and riots in Hyderabad. The attitude of the State Government today is beat those, who demand action against the guilty and serve biryani in the prison cell to Salman Salim who desecrated the idol in the temple. What kind of justice is this by the Revant Reddy Government of Congress in Telangana ? They should have caught the real culprits at this time.
