Salim arrested for breaking into the temple and vandalising the Goddess idol in Hyderabad (Telangana)
Hyderabad (Telangana) – Hyderabad Police arrested a Muslim youth named Salim Salman Thakur for breaking into the Mutyalamma Temple and vandalising the Goddess idol. Salim confessed to attacking the temple while going to the mosque from a hotel in Secunderabad.

1. Police said tension erupted in Secunderabad after Salim, along with some other fanatics, broke the idol of the Goddess at the Mutyalamma Temple in Hyderabad’s Kurmaguda area.
2. Local Hindus expressed outrage over the incident. The video of the incident is going viral on social media. After this incident, Police officials have tightened security and efforts are on to restore peace.
3. Locals protested near the temple and demanded action against the culprits. BJP leaders also participated in this demonstration. At this time, many BJP workers including Madhavi Latha, BJP candidate from Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency, were arrested.
4. At this time Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy went to the temple and later met the protesters. Police are conducting further investigation in this case.
