New Delhi – The Grievance Appellate Committee (GAC) of the Union Government has directed to permanently close the Facebook account ‘Fact Vid’ in the case of insulting Hindu Deities, Hindu culture and Indian national flag. In this regard, Amita Sachdeva, advocate of the Delhi High Court associated with the Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad, had taken the initiative.

The Facebook account ‘Fact Vid’ was constantly circulating posts insulting Hindu Deities, Hindu culture and India’s national flag. Many devout Hindus objected to this. Some even complained to Facebook against the account; but Facebook did not respond. Advocate Amita Sachdeva then lodged a complaint with the ‘Grievance Appellate Committee’ (GAC) in this regard. The GAC upheld this issue and directed Facebook to permanently close the account ‘Fact Vid’. Advocate Sachdeva posted the above information on ‘X’.
