Asian Human Rights Forum organizes a conference in British Parliament on ‘Human Rights in Pakistan’

London – The Asian Human Rights Forum (AHRF) has organised a conference in the British Parliament on ‘Human Rights in Pakistan’ to highlight the brutal violation of human rights in Pakistan. “Pakistan is involved not only in Islamic terrorism, but also in Sectarian terrorist activities,” the organisation said.

1. Human rights violations in Pakistan include genocide of ethnic minorities and religious minorities such as Hindus, Hazara, Pakhtun, Ahmadi, Siraki communities, religious persecution, forced conversions, discrimination and violence against women, kidnapping, formation and growth of terrorist groups, curbing of freedom of expression and freedom of the press.

2. Reports of violence against journalists, threats to those living abroad and speaking out against Pakistan are alarming.

3. Pakistan’s blasphemy laws have led to widespread human rights violations, including arbitrary arrests, prolonged imprisonment without trial, and judicial killings.

4. Atrocities against Hindus include forced conversions, kidnapping, rape, sexual abuse and slavery. The only options left for Hindus in Pakistan are to convert to Islam, pay the Jizya tax, flee or be ready for the death.

5. The Ahmadiyya community faces widespread persecution and violations of their religious rights in Pakistan.

6. Human rights violations are rampant in Indus Valley, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, Gilgit and Baltistan.

7. Women’s rights are being violated in Pakistan. Girls and women in Pakistan have little access to education. They face problems like domestic violence, acid attacks and child marriage.

8. The latest report of the Punjab Police is shocking, stating that 5,551 women have been abducted in the last 4 months in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is a fact that most cases of kidnapping and rape are not reported by families due to pressure from kidnappers and rapists.

9. The international community should declare the Pakistan Army as a ‘terrorist organisation’ and ban Pakistan.
