Bangladesh should protect the rights of its minorities : US’ casual appeal to Bangladesh
Washington (USA) – The United States has appealed to Bangladesh to protect the rights of its minority communities. The appeal comes in the wake of increasing attacks on the minority Hindu community in Bangladesh following the resignation of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller told reporters,’ We want to protect the rights of minorities in Bangladesh, as we do around the world.’ Mathew Miller expressed the above thoughts while responding to a question regarding the threat posed to the Hindu community by some fanatic Muslims while Hindus celebrate their biggest festival, Navaratri.
