150 Policemen search Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev’s Ashram on Madras High Court order

Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) – A team of 150 Police personnel, led by assistant Police Superintendent raided Jaggi Vasudev’s Isha Foundation Ashram in Thondamuthur, Tamil Nadu. This operation was conducted on the directive of Madras High Court. The Court has ordered to submit a detailed status report on all the criminal cases against the Foundation. A senior Police officer said that the purpose of the raid was mainly to get detailed information about the residents of the Ashram and search all the rooms.

Following a complaint of two girls allegedly held as captives, the Ashram came under scrutiny

A retired professor Dr S Kamraj had filed a complaint that his 2 daughters were in captivity in the Ashram. He has accused Isha Foundation of brain-washing people, turning them into Bhikshus (monks), and restricting to contact their families.
