Do you typically take a headshot ? : Bombay HC asks Police

Badlapur – “Do you typically aim for the head, or do you go for the hand or leg instead ? The Police officers in the vehicle transporting the suspect were fully trained and experienced. It is somewhat hard to believe that one suspect managed to overpower the Police. Can an average person handle a revolver ?”, asked the Bombay High Court during the hearing of the petition filed by Akshay Shinde’s father following his death in a Police encounter. Akshay was the main suspect in the Badlapur atrocities case. His father filed a petition that was being heard in the Court.

The Court added,

1. We have no objections to the Police actions, but it is important to ensure that the truth about the events in the Police vehicle is brought to light.

2. At what distance was Akshay Shinde shot ? Which part of his body was struck, and from which area did the bullet exit ? Please provide the forensic report for the revolver that fired at Akshay Shinde, as it will clarify all these details.
