Prevent denigration of Dharma during Navaratri festival and create awareness to celebrate it in an ideal manner
The Navaratri festival is starting from 3rd October 2024. This festival is celebrated all over India with great enthusiasm and devotion. The Goddess Principle is a thousand times more active in this period than on other days. Let us make the following efforts to propagate Dharma during the Navaratri festival and obtain the grace of the Goddess.
1. Contacting temple trustees and priests in the temples of the Goddess’
A. Meet the temple trustees and priests and appeal to them to sponsor chant-strips.
B. Temple priests can be encouraged to use Sanatan’s kumkum to perform kumkum-archan for the Goddess.
C. Organise exhibitions and sales of Sanatan’s offerings – Texts, Booklets, sattvik products, Almanacs near the temples of the Goddess’.
D. Boards can be displayed in the temples to provide information on the scientific worship of the Goddess and knowledge about other matters related to Dharma.
2. Meeting the chiefs of Navaratri festival committees
A. Chiefs of ‘Navaratrotsav Mandals (Navaratri Festival Committees)’ can be contacted, for appealing to celebrate this festival as per our Scriptures and for extensive propagation of Dharma. Help of devout Hindus attending Dharmashikshan classes can be taken in this campaign.
B. Many festival committees consecrate non-sattvik Idols of the Goddess. They can be motivated to consecrate Idols as per our Scriptures.
C. Various cultural programmes are organised on the occasion. Among them, lectures on the importance of Shakti (Divine Energy), spiritual practice, the need for a ‘Hindu Rashtra’, etc. can be organised. Lectures and live demonstrations can be presented on self-defense training and its need for the Hindu youth.
D. We can suggest presenting Sanatan’s sattvik products (including Texts and Booklets) to the chief guests in the programmes and winners of various competitions.
E. Requesting the use of Sanatan’s sattvik products such as incense sticks, camphor, Kumkum, Ashtagandha for Devipujan.
3. Creating awareness in people and wide-ranging unity
A. With the help of devotees, organise collective chanting of ‘Shri Durgadevyai Namaha’ to get maximum benefit of the activated Goddess Principle.
B. Many people worship young girls on all the days of Navaratri and give them food and gifts. Sanatan’s Texts in the Bal-sanskar series – ‘Bodha-katha’, ‘How to study’, ‘Inculcating good habits and Sanskars’, etc. can be presented to these girls.
C. Malpractices in playing Dandiya, Garba, etc. are rising every year, including obscene dancing, vulgar gestures while dancing. Incidents of ‘Love Jihad’ are also increasing. All these are distorting the Holy form of worship through dance; therefore, awareness can be created amongst young men and girls about these malpractices.
It is the foremost duty of every devotee to lawfully try and prevent denigration of Dharma caused through the Navaratri festival due to various malpractices. To prevent such malpractices and motivate others to celebrate the festival as per the Scriptures will be the highest quality of worship of the Goddess.
