Effect of the Saviour (Tarak) and Destroyer (Marak) chant of Deity Datta

Scientific research conducted by Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwavidyalay using the UAS (Universal Aura Scanner)

In today’s society, almost everyone is affected by spiritual distress, due to the distressing energies. An individual suffers physically and mentally, and also experiences other obstacles in life and in one’s spiritual practice. Unfortunately, most are ignorant about spiritual distress. For the removal of spiritual distress, chanting is an effective solution. Of the Superior Deities, which help in alleviating spiritual distress, one is Deity Datta. In present times, many do not perform Shraddha (special ritual performed for the departed ancestors) nor perform spiritual practice, therefore almost everyone has problems due to ancestors (unsatisfied subtle bodies of the ancestors). From the energy generated by chanting the Name of Deity Datta, a protective shield is created around the individual and his unsatisfied ancestors get momentum due to the chant, thus reducing the distress to the individual.

Whatever activity, if done as per the times, is more beneficial. After studying which type of chant emits the saviour (tarak) and destroyer (marak) principle of the respective Deity, those chants were recorded. For this, Ms Tejal Patrikar (Music coordinator, Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwavidyalay) 62% spiritual level performed a study of the chants under the guidance of Sachchidanand Parabrahman Dr. Jayant Athavale. These chants, endow the Deity’s saviour or destroyer principle to the one who chants them as per their spiritual emotion (bhav).

Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwavidyalay conducted research to study the effect of the saviour and destroyer chant of Deity Datta, using the UAS (Universal Aura Scanner). The analysis of the observations of this study is given ahead.

Mr. Ashish Sawant using the U.A.S. device for the experiment

The Universal Aura Scanner (UAS) was developed in 2005 by Dr. Mannem Murthy, a former nuclear scientist from Telengana. By using this instrument the energy and the aura of an object, a premises, an animal or an individual can be measured.

1. Interpretation of the observations of the study : A female participant with severe spiritual distress and a male participant with severe spiritual distress participated in this study.

A. Three readings of the saviour chant : The participants were asked to listen to the saviour chant of Deity Datta in low, medium and high tones for 1 hour each.

B. Three readings of the destroyer chant : The participants were asked to listen to the destroyer chant of Deity Datta in low, medium and high tones for 1 hour each.

Before and after listening to each chant, the UAS readings were taken.

2. After listening to the saviour chant of Deity Datta, the negative energy aura of both the participants with severe spiritual distress was nullified and their positive energy aura increased : Both participants had negative and positive energy aura before listening to the saviour chant of Deity Datta. After listening to the chant their negative energy aura was nullified and their positive energy aura increased.

3. After listening to the destroyer chant of Deity Datta, the negative energy aura of the participants with severe negative energy reduced to a large extent or was nullified and their positive energy aura increased : Before listening to the destroyer chant of Deity Datta, both had positive and negative energy aura. After listening to the destroyer chant of Deity Datta, their negative energy aura reduced to a large extent or was nullified and their positive energy aura increased to a large extent.

Chant in high tone 7.52 0 6.91 0 2.50 6.22 148.80

From the above two tables, the following points were noted

1. The benefit to both the participants increased progressively as per the intensity of the chant.

2. Both the participants benefited more from the saviour chant in low and medium tones, rather than the destroyer chant in low and medium tones.

3. The female participant was benefited most by the saviour chant in high tone, whereas the male participant benefited by the destroyer chant in high tone.

4. Spiritual analysis of the observations in the study

4 A. Importance of the saviour and destroyer chants of a Deity : There are two forms of a Deity, ‘Saviour’ and ‘Destroyer’. The form of the Deity giving blessings to the devotee is the Saviour form, for example Shrikrushna in blessing bestowing form. The form of a Deity destroying the demon is the Destroyer form, for example Shrikrushna releasing His Sudarshan chakra (a weapon) on Shishupala. The chant associated with the respective form of the Deity is the saviour or destroyer chant. The saviour chant of a Deity is necessary for generating spiritual emotion towards a Deity, for the experience of Chaitanya (Divine consciousness), Anand (Bliss) and Shanti (peace) and for protection from the distressing energies. For imbibing Shakti (Divine Energy) and Chaitanya (Divine consciousness) from the Deity and for destroying the distressing energies, the destroyer form of the chant of the Deity is necessary.

4 B. Both the participants in the study were spiritually benefited due to the Chaitanya emitted from the saviour and destroyer chant of Deity Datta : Both the participants were affected by distress from distressing energies and also from ancestors. At the beginning of the study, both had negative and positive energy aura. Due to imbibing the Chaitanya emitted from the saviour and destroyer chant of Deity Datta, as per their capacity, the negative energy aura of the participants reduced a lot and there was an appreciable increase in their positive energy aura.

4 C. Compared to the destroyer chant, the saviour chant of Deity Datta had more positive effect on both the participants : People with inherent saviour or destroyer constitution are found to have traits accordingly. For example, someone with a saviour constitution will perform chanting with spiritual emotion in a low tone, will perform activities slowly and well, whereas the one with destroyer type constitution will perform chanting forcefully, or speak forcefully (warrior attitude/kshtravrutti) etc. If saviour or destroyer chant of the Deity is performed according to one’s inherent nature, the individual is benefited more due to the Deity’s principle.

Vibrations of Shakti (Divine Energy) are imbibed from the destroyer chant of a Deity. For eliminating the effect of distressing energy, doing the destroyer chant in a loud tone is beneficial. The negative vibrations either reduce or get eliminated by destroyer chant in a loud tone, on account of the Shakti vibrations of the Deity. It also increases the positive vibrations in the individual. This was experienced by the participants.

4 D. The female participant got maximum benefit while listening to the saviour chant in a loud tone, whereas the male got maximum benefit while listening to the destroyer chant in a loud tone : Chanting in a low tone is Sattva predominant, medium tone is Sattva-raja predominant and loud tone is raja-Sattva predominant. As per their basic constitution and need, both the participants in the study were benefited from the saviour or destroyer type chant in a particular tone.
