Beirut (Lebanon) – Israel has carried out two airstrikes on Lebanon within 24 hours. The attacks targeted Dahieh area of the capital city Beirut. So far, 12 people have been reported dead in these strikes. Ibrahim Akil, Senior Commander of the terrorist organisation Hezbollah and member of the ‘Jihad Council’ has also been killed. Akil was on the US wanted terrorist list for his involvement in the 1983 attack on the US base in Beirut. Israeli security forces stated that they attacked and destroyed over 100 Hezbollah rocket launchers in Lebanon.

They also destroyed 1,000 rocket barrels. With these weapons, Hezbollah was preparing to launch attacks on Israel.
