(Summons is a notice given to a person to appear for investigation in a specific case)
Washington (US) – A US court has summoned India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, former RAW chief Samant Goel and RAW operative Vikram Yadav in connection with the conspiracy to kill Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. It has been asked to respond to the summons within 14 days. The United States had accused India to have conspired to assassinate Pannu in New York last year. US has claimed to have foiled the plot.

The summons is outrightly wrong! –
Foreign secretary Vikram Mistry, in the conference by the Ministry of External Affairs said that this summons is outrightly wrong. We took action after the conspiracy came to our notice. A high-level committee has also been set up in this regard.
Nikhil Gupta, an Indian national, was arrested by Czech police in Europe on June 30, 2023, for conspiring to kill Pannu. Nikhil was extradited to the US on June 14, 2024.
Editorial PerspectiveNow India too is expected to respond to the US in the same language by issuing summons for harbouring a Khalistan terrorist ! |
