Many organisations including the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti have submitted a memorandum to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Despite the protests, the series is being hosted by India. The first test match started at the Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on 19th September. The members of Hindu Makkal Katchi protested outside the stadium on the morning of 19th September. A large number of Hindu activists were present on this occasion.
After the protest, Mr Arjun Sampath (Founder President of Hindu Makkal Katchi) submitted a memorandum to the stadium management demanding that the match be cancelled. To this, the stadium management responded saying that they do not have any relationship with the BCCI, but they would be notified about the demand of Hindu Makkal Katchi. The Police arrested more than 50 activists of Hindu Makkal Katchi, Mr Arjun Sampath told a representative of ‘Sanatan Prabhat’.
