Palestinian flags waved during Eid processions by Muslims in MP

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) – On 16thSeptember, during Eid Milad-un-Nabi, processions were held by Muslims across the country, including in Madhya Pradesh. Several of these processions witnessed violent incidents, with provocative slogans raised and flags of Islamic countries waved in some areas. In Districts such as Ratlam, Mandsaur, Sheopur, Mandla, and Balaghat, religious fanatic Muslims caused disturbances. The Police have registered cases, and investigations are ongoing, with some individuals already arrested.

Provocative speeches by Akbaruddin Owaisi played on DJ in Ratlam

In Ratlam District, Palestinian flags were waved during the procession, and a video of the incident has gone viral on social media. Objectionable speeches were played on the DJ, with most of the statements attributed to AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi. In these speeches, Owaisi is heard inciting Muslims to take to the streets, citing their population numbers. Ratlam’s Superintendent of Police, Amit Kumar, has taken note of these incidents and ordered a thorough investigation, along with appropriate legal action.

Demand for action by Hindu organisations in Mandla

In Mandla-Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh, Palestinian flags were similarly waved during the Eid processions. Upon receiving news of this, members of Hindu organisations protested and surrounded the Police station, demanding strict action against the accused. The Police immediately detained Fardeen, who waved the flag. Palestinian flags were also waved in several parts of Balaghat during the processions.

Beheading slogans in Sheopur

In Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh, Muslims chanted “Sar Tan Se Juda” (beheading slogans) during the Eid procession. A viral video shows a group of people following a man carrying a large white flag, while chanting “Gustakh-e-Nabi ki ek hi saza, Sar Tan Se Juda, Sar Tan Se Juda” (there is only one punishment for insulting the Prophet, beheading). The white flag featured a large black sword printed on it. Members of Hindu organisations staged a protest at the Police station, calling for strict action against the perpetrators. Some Muslims participating in the procession also allegedly targeted Hindu homes, raised slogans in front of them, and burst crackers, resulting in one woman being injured. So far, five Police officers have been suspended for failing to control the mob’s disturbance.

Editorial Perspective

While the BJP Government is in power in Madhya Pradesh, patriots feel that such incidents should not happen. It is necessary to punish those who waved the flags so severely that no one dares to repeat such actions in the future.
