It is unfortunate that Gyanvapi is called Mosque : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath
Lucknow (UP) – Gyanvapi is the abode of Shri Vishwanath Incarnate, it is unfortunate that it is called Mosque, stated UP Chief Minister Adityanath. On 13th September, the Varanasi Civil Court dismissed a petition filed by Hindus asking not to allow Muslims for namaz into the upper portion of the Gyanvapi Vyasji basement, and to repair it. However, the court allowed the puja to be continued in the basement. Yogi Adityanath’s statement was in this context.

Reacting to it, advocate Madan Mohan Yadav, who is arguing in the Court for Hindu party, said, “we welcome the statement by Yogi Adityanath. Now the Law Board has also recognised Gyanvapi as the original place of Adi Vishweshwar Kashi Vishwanath. After Kalyan Singh it was rare to hear such forthright statements.
