Stone pelting on ‘Vande Bharat’ train in Chhattisgarh’s Mahasamund : 5 arrested

Raipur (Chhattisgarh) – Stones were pelted on ‘Vande Bharat Express’ at Mahasamund near Bagbahara railway station, due to which, glass windows of 3 coaches have been broken. The railway Police have arrested 5 persons in this connection. A case will be registered against them and they will be produced before the Railway Court.

Railway Security Force officer Parveen Singh said that some miscreants pelted stones on the ‘Vande Bharat Express’ which had left Mahasamund and reached Bagbahara at around 9 o’ clock. On getting information about this, the railway Police rushed to the spot and arrested the accused.

Earlier stone pelting incidents on ‘Vande Bharat Express’

1. This is not the first time that stones have been pelted on ‘Vande Bharat Express’. This has happened in many cities earlier too. A few days ago, some miscreants had pelted stones on ‘Vande Bharat’ traveling from Lucknow to Patna.

2. In July 2024, ‘Vande Bharat’ traveling from Gorakhpur to Lucknow was pelted with stones by miscreants.

3. Earlier, incidents of stone pelting on ‘Vande Bharat’ have come to light in many States including Gujarat, Bengal, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
