Two terrorists killed in Kashmir
Udhampur (Kashmir) – Two terrorists affiliated with Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) outfit were killed in an ongoing operation in the upper reaches of Basantgarh in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district on Wednesday, the Army said. The operation was jointly launched by Army’s first para and Police and the first contact with the terrorists was established at around 12.50 p.m., the officials said. The terrorists opened fire on the soldiers. Soldiers also fired in response. The security forces killed the terrorists in the encounter which lasted for an estimated four hours.
Pakistan violated the ceasefire agreement
“On 11thSeptember, at about 02:35 a.m., there was an incident of unprovoked firing in the Akhnoor area from across the border, which was befittingly responded by the BSF. One BSF personnel sustained injuries in Pak firing. Our troops are on high alert,” the BSF said in a statement. Pakistan violated the ceasefire agreement along the border at least four times last year. It is not yet understood how much Pakistan suffered in this action. After this incident, tight security has been kept at the border.
