Joint military exercise between India and US begins in Bikaner
Bikaner (Rajasthan) – Joint exercise between India and US started from September 9 in Sand Dunes. This is the biggest ever military exercise between the two countries and it will continue till September 22. The objective of this joint military exercise is to strengthen coordination between the two armies and to address security challenges facing the country and the world. The exercise will focus on enhancing joint military capabilities and counter- terrorism operations in sub-conventional areas. The US squad reached the ‘Mahajan Firing Range’ on the evening of 8thSeptember for the joint exercise.
Soldiers of both the countries will also test their respective weapons. Indian soldiers will train US soldiers to drop from the sky and destroy enemy targets. An exhibition of weapons made in India will also be held. Indian soldiers will undergo training on the US weapons. Indian soldiers will use modern weapons like ‘AK 203’ rifles.
The US to use ‘High Mobility Artillery Rocket System’ for the first time in India
For the first time, the US will deploy the ‘High Mobility Artillery Rocket System’ in the ‘Mahajan Field Firing Range’ of the Indian Army. This system is capable of precision attacks at long distances.
