Udupi (Karnataka) – A Hindu girl student studying MBBS in a prestigious college in the district was pressurised by her Muslim lover of the same college to convert to Islam. The case came to light after the girl lodged a police complaint. The Durga Vahini-Matrushakti Sanghatana of Vishwa Hindu Parishad submitted a memorandum to police commissioner Dr Arun demanding that the case be handed over to the National Investigation Agency.
The girl, who hails from an out-of-state, was lured into a web of love by a student named Mohammad Danish Khan, who sexually assaulted her. He also used to beat her. Later he forced her to convert to Islam.

Demand of the VHP !

In a statement to the police, Hindutva activists of VHP’s Durga Vahini-Matrushakti Sanghatana said that there is an organised conspiracy going on across the country to convert Hindu girls in the name of love. It has come to light in many cases that such converted girls have been used in anti-national activities. Hence, a similar conspiracy and anti-national elements are suspected to be involved in this case. Hence,  it is been demanded in the memorandum that the case should be handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). District Matru Shakti pramukh Purnima Suresh, VHP district secretary Dinesh Mendon, city Matrushakti chief Geeta Ravi Shet and others were present on the occasion.

• This incident proves once again that no matter how highly educated Muslims are,  the fanaticism in them is not reduced by even an iota !

• Pro(re)gressives who teach the wisdom that ‘love is not bound by religion’ do not say a word against Muslim lovers who pressurise for conversion. Would they be able to answer – What about the religious freedom of Hindu girl ?
