Russian President Putin hints at stopping the war with Ukraine
Moscow (Russia) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that India can play a good mediator in possible peace talks with Ukraine. Apart from India, Putin also referred to China and Brazil.

1. Putin added that a preliminary agreement had been reached between Russian and Ukrainian officials at talks in Istanbul (Turkey) in the weeks leading up to the war, but it was not implemented. If peace talks are held again, this agreement can be included as a basis for the negotiations.
2. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visited Russia and Ukraine in the past few months. India and Russia have been friends since long. Modi is also said to have a good personal relationship with Ukrainian President Zelensky. India had also said that India was committed to playing a role in peace initiatives during the meeting between Russia and Ukraine.
