Dhaka (Bangladesh) – On 4th September 2024, a violent Muslim mob killed a Hindu youth in the Sonadanga area of the city, accusing him of blaspheming Prophet Muhammad on social media. The victim, 18-year-old Utsav Mandal, was murdered right in front of the Police and Bangladeshi army men, on the premises of a Police Station. According to reports from local media, Deputy Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police (South), Mohammad Tajul Islam, confirmed the killing of an 18-year-old Hindu youth.
Youth accused of posting blasphemous content on Facebook about Prophet Muhammad
A group of Muslim students took the Hindu youth to the office of Khulna Metropolitan Deputy Commissioner (South), Tajul Islam, after accusing him of posting derogatory content about Prophet Muhammad on social media. Meanwhile, the Muslims surrounded the Deputy Commissioner’s office for about 3 hours, demanding punishment for the youth for the alleged blasphemy.
Murder carried out in front of the Police and the soldiers
To control the situation, troops from the army and navy arrived on the scene. Utsav Mandal was then taken to the Police Station, but the fanatic Muslim mob brutally beat him to death right in the Police Station. As a result, Utsav Mandal died in front of the Police and soldiers, due to the severe beating.
Military officials said they had informed the mob that ‘maximum punishment’ would be given to the Hindu youth, but despite this, the aggressive mob brutally beat up and killed him.
Bangladeshi media suppresses the news
Following the murder of Utsav Mandal, Bangladeshi news websites initially reported the incident, but later withdrew the news from their websites. The reason behind such suppression is not known. (It appears that the media is trying to hide the fact that Muslims are exterminating Hindus in Bangladesh – Editor).
Reports had already surfaced that the Bangladeshi army was planning a nationwide campaign targeting HindusA devout Hindu leader from Bangladesh had informed a ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ correspondent three days earlier that the Bangladeshi military was soon to launch a nationwide campaign targeting Hindus. Is the murder of Utsav Mandal the beginning of their campaign ? The head of the interim Government, Dr Mohammad Yunus, is known to harbour hatred towards Hindus, and many leaders in Bangladesh have received radical education in madarasas. The judiciary is also controlled by the extremist Muslim organiaation ‘Jamaat-e-Islami’, leaving no support for Hindus even in the Courts. The Police and military seem to be facilitating each other for genocide of Hindus, as is evident in Utsav Mandal’s murder. Furthermore, all news related to the incident has been suppressed by the media. In short, Hindus feel that democracy in Bangladesh is ready to wipe them out. |
