47 Tigers died from January 1 to April 12 this year – NTCA

New Delhi – According to a report submitted by the ‘National Tiger Conservation Authority’ in the Supreme Court, 47 tigers have died in the country from January 1 to April 12 this year. Of these, 17 tigers were from Madhya Pradesh, while 11 tigers were from Maharashtra. 6 tigers have died in Karnataka, 3 in Uttar Pradesh, 2 each in Rajasthan, Kerala, Telangana and Uttarakhand, and one tiger each in Chhattisgarh and Odisha. Last year, 181 tigers died due to various reasons. Most of the tigers that died last year were from the States of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. 45 tigers died in Maharashtra and 43 tigers in Madhya Pradesh last year. 21 tigers had died in Uttarakhand, 15 in Tamil Nadu, 14 in Kerala, 12 in Karnataka and 10 in Assam.
