Naxalism will end in the country by March 2026
Statement by Union Home Minister Amit Shah
Raipur (Chhattisgarh) – Naxalism will end before March 2026. The campaign against it is now at a turning point. Now is the time to attack this problem with a hard and ruthless strategy. Union Home Minister Amit Shah said here that currently that problem was limited to some selected areas in Chhattisgarh. He was speaking in a meeting held with officials of 7 states regarding Naxalism. Amit Shah is currently on a 3-day visit to the state of Chhattisgarh.

Home Minister Shah said that the states should entrust the investigation of inter-state cases related to Naxalism to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Naxal surrender policy will be revised in 2 months. Incidents of Naxal violence were decreasing in the country and it declined by 73% from its peak in 2010.
