Meerut (Uttar Pradesh) – An incident has come to light wherein a student was forcefully fed non-vegetarian food by headmaster Muhammad Iqbal in a Government school. The student is disabled. Mohammad Iqbal has been suspended in this case.

1. The student’s brother has said in the complaint that the headmaster asked him to order non-vegetarian food as the vegetarian food was not good. He told the headmaster that he would not consume non-vegetarian food, still he ordered non-vegetarian food and force-fed his brother. Their uncle came to the school and confronted the headmaster. Mohammad Iqbal was called to the Police station after the matter was reported to the Police.

2. Iqbal has denied all the allegations. He said, “I didn’t order non-vegetarian food in mid-day meal. The students who are targeting me are the same students who brought meat.”

3. The officials of the education department said that they are investigating who ordered non-vegetarian food in the school and why. The purpose of ordering non-vegetarian food may be to feed other children; but it is wrong to feed it to those who do not eat meat. Headmaster Mohammad Iqbal has been suspended in this matter.
