In 10 years, the state of Assam, Bengal and Jharkhand will be like Bangladesh
Thought provoking statement of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma
Guwahati (Assam) – Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has stated that in the next 10 to 15 years the state of Assam, Bengal and Jharkhand may become like Bangladesh. Sarma expressed his views through Facebook Live. He said that it is natural for the Hindu community in Assam, Bengal and Jharkhand to be worried about their future. I hope that such a situation does not arise there in the next 10-15 years.
He said :
Videos of the demolition of the ISKCON temple and Shri Durga temple in Bangladesh have been widely circulated on social media. A video of a Hindu being killed and his body hanged from a tree in Bangladesh was also widely circulated. The incident in Bangladesh reminds me again and again that Hindus have become a minority in 12 districts of Assam.
From 2001 to 2014, about 30 to 35 percent of Assam Police were recruited from a particular community (Muslims). Today the Assam Government is recruiting people from every religion in the Police and forest guard force.
