Full force of law will be visited on the rioters : UK PM Keir Starmer
London (Britain) – “The full force of law will be visited on the rioters. It is hoped that the Court will give a solid punishment to those arrested before the end of the week,” stated British Prime Minister Keir Starmer over the ongoing riots which have lasted over a week. Last month, 3 girls were killed and 10 people were injured in a knife attack at a dance club in Southport, UK. Rumors of suspect being a Muslim refugee led to attacks on Muslim immigrants and mosques. Prime Minister Starmer has made the above statement on these attacks.
Attacks on Muslims will not be tolerated : StarmerStarmer further said that around 6,000 special riot control Police persons are being deployed in Britain to control the situation. Whatever the reason, this is not the way to protest. This is pure violence and we will not tolerate attacks on mosques or our Muslim community. The law will work with full force against those involved in these riots. |
Editorial Perspective
In Bangladesh, Hindus have been attacked for the past few days; however, no leader from Bangladesh has said that ‘attacks on Hindus will not be tolerated’. Even the Indian rulers have not yet made any such statement. Globally, the efforts are made to protect Muslims, but not Hindus. |
