Sheikh Hasina had to flee due to the same people who expelled me from Bangladesh

Exiled Bangladeshi Writer Taslima Nasrin Criticizes Sheikh Hasina

New Delhi – Exiled Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasrin criticized former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) regarding the situation in Bangladesh. Nasrin wrote, ‘When I returned to Bangladesh in 1999 to visit my dying mother, Hasina expelled me from the country and told me never to return. She did this to appease Muslims. The same Islamist forces that led the movement to expel Sheikh Hasina from the country are responsible for this situation. Hasina herself is accountable for this situation; she allowed the rise of Islamists and let her own people engage in corruption. Now, Bangladesh should not become like Pakistan. There should not be military rule in Bangladesh. Political parties must bring democracy and secularism there.’
