Pakistan and USA are the cause of events in Bangladesh

Washington (USA) – Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the US-based son of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has alleged that Pakistan and USA have been the cause of recent political turmoil in Bangladesh. He was interviewed by a few news channels in India. He also clarified that China never interfered in the governance of Bangladesh. He claimed that Bangladesh will be a part of Pakistan now. He informed that Sheikh Hasina will not return to Bangladesh in future and stay in the USA. There was news about Sheikh Hasina seeking political asylum in UK which was dismissed by Joy. It has come to light that Pakistan’s ISI incited the students’ organisations in Bangladesh. Pakistan has been hatching this plot since last few months. Even USA wanted an unstable Government in Bangladesh, he claimed.
Sajeeb Joy added –
Sheikh Hasina is disappointed and disheartened
My mother didn’t want to leave Bangladesh. We, however, explained to her that it was for her safety. She gave a good, stable Government to Bangladesh and took the country on the path of development. She fought against militancy. She is feeling disappointed and disheartened about the prevailing situation in Bangladesh.
Main role of Jamaat-e-Islami
Use of army became necessary to bring the situation under control in the country, but Hasina opposed the use of army against students; therefore, she resigned. Jamaat-e-Islami has played the main role in this series of events. Ordinary citizens are not at all involved in this violence.
The future of Bangladesh is not our responsibility
We will certainly protect our leaders. In 1975 too, the Party’s leaders were killed. We didn’t want its repetition, but now, Bangladesh’s future is not our responsibility. Lot of efforts were made to save Bangladesh. Now, Sheikh Hasina will not come back to save people. She is 77 years old. It was the last phase in her political life. She was to retire from politics. We will not criticise the army. It is their fate. Our party leaders are being attacked. I don’t think there will be impartial elections in future. Our family helped in development of Bangladesh. The people will get leaders that they deserve if they are not interested in supporting our party.
