Pakistan claims India’s involvement in Haniyeh’s assassination

  • Pakistan’s plot to sour the friendship between Iran and India

  • Pakistani journalist exposes Pakistan

Islamabad (Pakistan) – After Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was killed in Tehran, the capital of Iran, tensions have risen in the Gulf countries, leading to a possibility of war. Amid this tense atmosphere, Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI has begun implicating India in this murder case through Pakistan’s former ambassador to India, Abdul Basit. Abdul Basit posted on ‘X,’ alleging that, “India’s complicity cannot be ruled out in Ismail Haniyeh’s assassination in Tehran to return favours to Israel. RAW (India’s intelligence agency) has many undercover agents based in Iran. We all remember Commander Kulbhushan Jhadav (who was allegedly arrested by Pakistan for espionage).”

Following Basit’s statement, he is facing criticism on social media. Notably, Pakistani journalist Wajahat Saeed Khan, who currently resides in the United States, has exposed Basit.

Journalist Wajahat said,

1. Basit works under the directions of ISI. He raised the issue against India at the behest of ISI. It is a childish statement, and the fact is that Israel attacked Haniyeh.

2. Pakistan has also sheltered many enemies of India, including terrorist leaders of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul. Twenty such people have been killed in Pakistan, and India is being blamed for this as well.

3. The Indian Army is extensively preparing in Jammu and is planning a major operation against terrorists.

4. Pakistan is emulating Iran’s strategy by supporting many terrorist groups. Many Shia groups from Iran are active in Pakistan. Pakistan has now targeted them. Iran’s intelligence agency recruits Pakistani Shia youth. It remains to be seen whether Pakistan will now join the Saudi group against Iran or not.

5. As the friendship between India and Iran is growing, this ISI agent (Basit) made this accusation. India is building a port at Chabahar in Iran, which is considered a counter to Pakistan’s Gwadar port. This has angered Pakistan. India has a close friendship with Israel.

No matter how many allegations Pakistan makes, the world knows the truth. On the contrary, such claims only bring ridicule to Pakistan globally.
