Cases of killings of women in Navi Mumbai be tried in the fast-track Court : Ambadas Danve

Panvel – “Shiv Sena (UBT) is with the family of late Yashashree Shinde. All efforts will be made to arrest and give strict punishment to Dawood Sheikh, the suspect in this case. The shocking incidents of murders of women in Kopar Khairane, Nerul and Uran areas in Navi Mumbai have created an atmosphere of insecurity among people. The suspects in all such cases should be immediately arrested and tried in the fast-track Court, to do justice to the families of the victims,” demanded Ambadas Danve, Opposition leader in the State Legislative Council, on 29th July 2024 while talking to the press. He met Police Commissioner Milind Bharambe of Navi Mumbai Police, along with a delegation and submitted an application. In a case of ‘Love Jihad’, the murder of Yashashree Shinde by a religious fanatic named Dawood Sheikh, came to light two days ago. The murder has been strongly condemned across the State. In this background, Ambadas Danve visited the family of the victim and offered condolences.

He stressed that the opposition did not want to politicise the matter. The search for the suspect is ongoing, and he will not be spared. Navi Mumbai Police are on their job. They should be given adequate time.  He was sure that Navi Mumbai Police would find the suspect within 48 hours.
