Terrorism increased due to political parties in Jammu and Kashmir!
Statement by R.R. Swain, Director General of Police of Jammu and Kashmir
Srinagar (Jammu-Kashmir) – The Director General of Police for Jammu and Kashmir, R.R. Swain, has remarked that regional politics have aided Pakistan’s infiltration. He highlighted the troubling trend of politicians showing sympathy to the families of terrorists after attacks, holding local leaders responsible for the terrorism issue in Kashmir. In his speech at an event, Swain highlighted the ‘Jamaat-e-Islami’ organization, claiming that it provides religious backing to terrorist activities.
Director General of Police Swain further added,
1. Pakistan has managed to infiltrate crucial aspects of civil society in the Kashmir Valley due to regional politics, and ample evidence exists to back this assertion. Their tactics include cleverly intimidating ordinary citizens and security personnel.
2. Superintendents of Police have been imprisoned together with terrorists for crimes they have not committed.
3. In 2014, the drowning of two girls was depicted in the Kashmir Valley as a case of abduction, sparking strikes and riots. However, investigations by the CBI and AIIMS Forensic later established that the girls’ deaths were due to an accident.
