China builds underground bunkers near Pangong Lake
Leh (Ladakh) – China has constructed permanent structures and underground bunkers near Pangong Lake in Ladakh. This information comes from satellite images taken by the American company BlackSky. The images reveal permanent structures for military armored vehicles and other equipment.
The Chinese military base is located at Sirijap on the northern shore of Pangong Lake. This base serves as the main headquarters for the troops stationed around the lake. It is situated in an area claimed by India and is 5 kilometers from the Line of Actual Control (LAC). The base is 120 kilometers southeast of the Galwan Valley, where a clash between Indian and Chinese troops occurred in 2020, resulting in the deaths of 20 Indian soldiers and 40 Chinese soldiers.
