In the legal notice, Tiwari’s advocate Prakash Salsingikar mentions, ‘My plaintiff Gautam Tiwari is a law student and he learnt about the Meta AI update on 3rdJuly 2024 from his friend. This app is being used by people in 180 of the 193 countries in the world, and thus, the information it spreads has a huge impact. It affects people’s personal lives and business. Meta AI answers to the information sought by the users.
Meta AI publishes only jokes about Hinduism, not of other religions
When Gautam Tiwari asked for information about ‘Jokes about Hindu Deities’ to this app, various kinds of jokes about Hindu Deities were shown. When Gautam asked about jokes on Shriram, the app responded, ‘Why did Shriram bring a ladder during the war ? So that he wanted to take his game to a higher level and defeat Ravana’; however, when asked ‘jokes about other religions’, the app responded that we cannot make jokes about other religious persons. I can help you with jokes on any other topic. Would you like it if I did ?
Intentional denigration of Hindu Deities !
Gautam Tiwari was saddened to see Hindu Deities being insulted through humour. According to Gautam Tiwari, The sentiments of Hindus are being intentionally hurt by making such jokes, because those who do this know that Hindus are tolerant and will not oppose this evil intention. You can make jokes about Hindu Deities, but not about other religions. By making this discrimination, your intention to hurt the sentiments of Hindus by denigrating Hinduism is clear. Although Hindus are 15% of the world’s population, they are still 1 billion. So you have not considered that you will hurt the sentiments of so many Hindus while publishing this.
