UP Minister urges Muslim shopkeepers not to name their shops after Hindu Deities during Kavad Yatra
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) – “During the Kavad Yatra, Muslims naming their shops after Hindu Deities can create controversies and may be objectionable for some. Name your shops anything but do not use Hindu Deities’ names,” urged Uttar Pradesh Minister Kapil Dev Agarwal. He was speaking in a meeting organised here in connection with the yatra. In the month of Shravan, Kavad Yatra (Bringing sacred waters of Ganga from Haridwar and performing abhishek in the Shiva temple) is celebrated in Uttar Pradesh.
