Indian-origin Prime Minister Rishi Sunak suffers crushing defeat in Britain

Labour Party’s Keir Starmer to become the new Prime Minister !

London (UK) – In a significant political shift, Indian-origin Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his Conservative Party have suffered a devastating defeat in the UK, with the Labour Party emerging victorious. The Labour Party has secured over 400 of the 650 seats, while Sunak’s Conservative Party has managed to win only 92 seats so far. In comparison, it is noted that while the BJP in India couldn’t cross the 400-seat mark, the Labour Party has achieved this feat in the UK. Accepting his defeat, Rishi Sunak stated, “I take full responsibility for this defeat and understand the significant message sent by the British people.” Labour Party leader Keir Starmer is set to become the new Prime Minister. Starmer remarked, “The time for change has begun, and this mandate brings great responsibility upon us.”

The Conservative Party, led by Sunak, and the Labour Party, led by Starmer since April 2020, are the two major political parties in the UK. The power alternates between these two parties, with the Conservatives being given the most opportunities by the British public to remain in power over the past 14 years.

Sunak is set to submit his resignation to King Charles III. Subsequently, King Charles will invite Starmer to form a government as the leader of the largest party in Parliament.

Editorial Perspective

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, known for his Indian heritage, did nothing significant for the Hindus in Britain and did not take strong action against anti-India Khalistanis. Therefore, Indians will not regret his defeat.
