Fanatic Muslims assault a Hindu youth for dancing to a song on Shriram Mandir at a Muslim wedding
Incident at Kalburgi (Karnataka)
Kalburgi (Karnataka) – A Hindu youth danced to the song of Shriram Mandir at his Muslim friend’s wedding. Angered by this, 5-6 fanatic Muslim youths attacked him and beat him up brutally. The incident took place in Itaga village of the District.
On July 1, a Hindu youth named Bhimashankar, played the song ‘Agar chhua to mandir ko, teri aukat dikha degen’ (if you touch the temple, we’ll show what we can do) and danced to it. According to local media, on the morning of July 2, 5-6 Muslim youths barged into the house of Bhimashankar and brutally beat him up. The names of the assailants are Khanpasha, Khajapasha, Mashak Patel, Feroze, Qasim, Madar and Naeem. Bhimashankar’s family is scared because of this attack and they feel that their lives are in danger. Some of the attackers were also reportedly injured. A case has been registered on the complaint of Bhimashankar’s mother.
Such incidents have come up earlier too. A few days ago, there was a clash between Hindus and Muslims near Arhalli Gate in Kolar city. On the 515thbirth anniversary of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda, there was a controversy over playing the DJ in front of the mosque.
