Priests of the Shriram temple will now wear yellow attire, restricted to carry mobile phones
Ayodhya, UP – The management of the Shriram temple in Ayodhya has been changed. The attire of the temple priests has changed saffron to yellow. Apart from this, restrictions have been laid on their (Priests) carrying mobile phones inside the temple.
According to officials of the Ram Mandir Board of Trustees, the priests in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Lalla’s temple were seen in saffron robes till now – saffron turban, saffron kurta and pitambar. Now the priests will be wearing a yellow kurta, yellow turban and yellow pitambar (Silk cloth). This rule has been implemented from 1stJuly. Priests have been trained to tie yellow turban.
The team of priests in the Shriram Mandir consists of one head priest, four assistant priests, each assistant priest will have five trainee priests. Each team of these priests serves a five-hour shift starting from the first shift beginning at 3.30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
