Four Gorakshaks attacked by religious Muslim fanatics in front of the Police in Mahad
One seriously injured
Mahad, Maharashtra – Police arrested those who killed cows in Isane Kamble area of Mahad. The Gorakshaks (Cow protectors) of Poladpur had received the information that cow slaughter would take place at the respective place. So they reached the spot and caught the cow slaughterers red-handed. This time the Police were also with the cow protectors; but still the religious Muslim fanatics beat up the Gorakshaks. In this Nilesh Darekar sustained serious injuries while Sumit Jagtap, Jayesh Darekar and Sagar Salunkhe sustained minor injuries. Police are conducting further investigation in this case.
