We were vilified during G7 summit : China
Beijing – The spokesperson of China’s Foreign Ministry, Lin Jian, alleged that in the recently held G7 (group of 7 countries namely USA, Britain, Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan and France) summit in Apulia in Southern Italy, China was vilified and attacked.
‘We were defamed at the G7 Summit!’ – China
At the recently concluded G7 summit in Italy, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni invited Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, even though India is not a member of the summit.

Lin Jian said, the leaders condemned China in the G7 Summit. They made false allegations against China. The G7 nations do not represent the world. These 7 nations contribute to only 10% of the world’s population. Together their contribution to the economic development of the world is smaller than that of China on its own. The G7 has for a long time deviated from its objective. It has become a political weapon for maintaining the supremacy of the US and the Western countries.
Editorial Perspective
In the G7 Summit held recently in Italy, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni had invited Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi despite India not being a member of the G7. China is perhaps offended by that and hence enraged over the summit. |
